Sleep? That's like coffee for people with too much free time...

TheOutnet.com is now my go to for discounted Alexander Wang bags.  They always have phenomenal deals and their warehouse happens to be around the corner from.  Meet Miss Marion in Spice.. a reddish burgundy color.  It's a bit more vibrant in real life but for whatever reason, I haven't been able to capture the true beauty of the color in a photograph yet.

The Marion is a perfect small bag, similar size to my 3.1 Phillip Lim Mini Pashli.  This is the updated / redesigned version of this bag.  I had purchased a minty aloe colored Marion from TheOutnet last year and it didn't have the edged piping that the front has now, and the inside of the redesigned version is separated with a zippered compartment into two convenient sections (I'll try to remember to take a snapshot one day).

"Always laugh when you can. It is cheap medicine." -Lord Byron

For the second time in my blogging career, I have been sent some items for review.  This time it is from Gentry, a jewelry shop that has some adorable items and offers free shipping on all domestic orders (free shipping is always a plus for me!).  They sent me a few items but the first one I'm going to share with you guys is the Nectar Collar necklace.  This is the first collar necklace I have owned and it's beautiful!  I love the detailing in it and it is currently on sale so check it out.  I haven't been able to incorporate it into an outfit yet, but imagine a simple outfit consisting of a blouse and skinny jeans going with this gorgeous piece.  Hopefully I get a chance to wear it soon and share the photos with you guys.

I could be a morning person.. if morning happened around noon.

I finally got around to wearing these Zara shorts that I bought every color of during the beginning of the summer.  The layered crochet dresses up these shorts nicely.  They are a good alternative to my usual denim cut offs that I generally live in during the warmer seasons.  I enjoy having another pair of go to shorts that spruce up even my most casual outfits.

Another recent acquisition is my Alexander Wang Jane bag.  It's super light in comparison to my Rocco (one of which I am currently selling on Ebay), and it's much easier to find my possessions in it.

"Look up to the sky, you'll never find rainbows if you're looking down."
-Charlie Chaplin

These shoes are very similar to the Opening Ceremony x Chloe Sevigny ones from last year but at a fraction of the price.  I found these on super sale here at Piperlime.com for $29.99.  They are excellent quality for the price you get them for and are pretty comfortable for a shoe this height.  The only think they lack (compared to the Chloe Sevigny version) is a detachable bow.. but I think I can sacrifice the bow for saving hundreds of dollars.

I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.

I wish I could venture out and take more leggy photos such as the ones below but lately the bugs have been eating me alive.  The other day, I ventured out for 5 minutes to take some photos and came back with 12 insanely itchy bug bites.  It makes me long for fall weather and the absence of insects nibbling at me!

As for this outfit, I'm in fact wearing a tank top layered with a denim shirt over it.  Underneath it all are some shorts that don't even get a chance to peak out due to my height.  My boyfriend thoroughly appreciates my "no pants" outfits and onlookers always stare second guessing whether or not I have bottoms other than my undergarments on.

By the way, I'm wearing Tarte lip tint in Spirited, which is an orange-reddish color that I am in love with.  I only needed to apply one coat and it is as bright as pictured below.  It's a perfect shade for the warmer months!

I totally take back all those times I didn't nap when I was younger

The Rag & Bone Newbury's are one of my favorite shoes.  The shape and heel height make them perfect all year round and it comes in a huge assortment of colors and materials.  If only it wasn't so hot and my toes weren't gasping for air, otherwise I'd wear these more often during the summer. Full outfit photos will be in the next post.

Nothing sucks more than the moment during an argument when you realize you are wrong.

And the crazy sales continue..

All Saints has a great style and feel to it, but never feel as if I can purchase anything from there unless it's during sales time.  I got a pair of fringed suede ankle boots (that those of you who have followed me for a while know about), on sale last year and love love LOVED!  This year, I nabbed a pair of sandals for 50% off.  I'm not usually a fan of white as you all know, and it's not due to not liking the color white, but rather my own carelessness as to getting it dirty.  Anyway, I figured the price was right for these sandals and if I'm going to get something white, it'd be a pair of leather sandals that will hopefully live up to the challenge of being worn by someone as reckless as me.

Have you ever noticed that a woman's "I'll be ready in five minutes" and a man's "I'll be home in five minutes" are exactly the same?

This summer has been full of housewarming parties and I taken the opportunity to dress up a tad for them.  I've found that housewarmings are a good place for some of your more fashionable pieces that you don't wish to get destroyed.  Wearing some of your higher shoes is also more acceptable because there is less of a chance for you to trip over yourself and fall on your face OR suffer from painfully squished toes, since most of the time you're standing in one place or sitting (if you're so lucky to find a free seat).

This particular housewarming outfit is comprised mostly of items purchased on sale at Aritzia.  The skirt is BCBGeneration and is surprisingly versatile despite the crazy print.  It's also super comfortable due to the elastic band around my waist so I don't have to struggle unzip when doing some serious eating.  I was wearing these Rag & Bone boots when I tried on this exact outfit in the store and was immediately sold.  In my opinion, it makes such a difference trying on certain clothes with an elevated shoe when you're as short as me.  Most pieces somehow manages to look better with a pair of heels.  I think it has something to do with my legs looking less stumpy...
