"Do what you feel in your heart to be right - you'll be criticized anyway." Eleanor Roosevelt
This is another airport outfit that I wore for wedding I had to go to in Alabama. Layered perfection for the plane, but I underestimated how hot Alabama would be in March. I'm winter leggings from American Apparel, which are great when you're trying to keep warm, but a bit thick once warmer weather comes. I've found it difficult to find cheap / not see through leggings, so any suggestions are welcome!

"Listen, smile, agree.. and then do whatever the fuck you were going to do anyway" -Robert Downey Jr.
Now that is a man who just gets better with age. What is it with most men being able to accomplish this? I feel like it's way harder for women to age well for whatever reason. My boyfriend is constantly telling me he only plans on getting more handsome as he grows older, not unlike Robert Downey Jr.
So spring is here and that means bugs. I figure since this is a current issue for me, I'd like to share it all with you. In between leaving work and now, I have acquired 5 bug bites. Five. I didn't even think bugs were that prevalent yet. Of course, my boyfriend has to be nice and tell me it's because I'm "so sweet." This a good answer, but I'd trade in being "sweet" for something less itchy. I can't even imagine what's in store for the rest of the spring and summer, since I hear that cicadas are going to be swarming my area again and those things just scare me.
With that being said, you'd think I wasn't much of a nature person however I do like a good hike now and then. A couple of weeks back, we trekked over to the Delaware Water Gap for some hiking. I dressed in layers since I figured that I'm out of shape and would probably end up huffing and puffing whilst sweating profusely. For the occasion, I wore a flannel layered over a t-shirt. Normally I probably wouldn't share a hiking outfit, but I happened to get warm, take off my flannel, and tie it around my waist. Now this is something I've seen a lot of bloggers photograph, and pull off well.. but I never imagined myself to be one of those girls. After seeing the photos, I decided that I didn't hate the look on me. I like the 90's vibe of it all, I never owned a flannel in my life before now.. but it's never too late to pick up a trend, right?

Don't overthink, just let go.
A quick post to make sure you guys know I'm around.. as you may have noticed, the format of my blog has changed since my last post. If I relearn how to use html, this might be changing again in the near future.. but for now I'm pleased with the new set up. Simple and clean, just how I like it.
Instagram photos of my new Alexander Wang Rockie. I previously owned two Roccos, both that I've since sold. The size of the Rockie is much more suited to my height, and I actually like how this bag looks on my shoulder with the longer strap. I never thought the longer strap suited me on the Rocco, it just managed to overwhelm my whole frame. Though I was firmly a believer in the brass hardware with pebbly black leather combination, the smooth leather suits the Rockie and the pale gold studs really shine. Loving this new bag, it's like deja vu when I use it.

Today, I am thankful.
I seem to be preoccupied with the weather on my blog. It basically dictates what I am going to wear for the day. I'm posting some colder weather outfits because it's finally starting to look and feel like spring so I figured I'd get my cold weather posts out of the way first.
My boyfriend described me + this hat = a little girl Attila the Hun (or something similar). He found it adorable, though he finds all things on me adorable, whether or not I find it horrendous. I am thankful for how nice he is to me, though it doesn't help when I literally look terrible and he says I look wonderful and then I look at myself in the mirror and tell him he can't let me leave the house looking like his version of "wonderful." This is a rare moment for me to wear a hat that isn't my slouchy Alexander Wang beanie (#bigheadproblems) - makes for difficulty finding sunglasses and hats that don't fly off.

Always believe that something wonderful is about to happen.
I am terrible when it comes to using gift cards. My co-workers gave me one to Sephora for my birthday last year, and I didn't figure out what to use it on until almost a year later. I've seen a lot of bloggers write about the YSL Glossy Stains and how amazing they are, and I figured I'd give it a try. After staining my hand in all different colors, I left with #12, Coral Fauve. It's a pretty coral that I thought would be good for the spring and summer. Unfortunately, it didn't stain as much as I'd hoped for, considering the price and the reviews that I read. I'm by no means a make up guru, so I just expected a nice color and staying power from the reviews I had seen. This color didn't have the staying power, but it's still very nice. I won't give up yet on the YSL Glossy Stains though, when I was trying all the colors on my hands, some of them instantly stained my skin, so I'm hoping to try one of those and see how the color / staying power is.

He doesn't steal pies from windowsills! He is a real-life homeless person!
I don't Instagram that often.. it's something I should practice more often. I always manage to feel that my pictures aren't as interesting and nice and other people live much more interesting lives than myself.
Two photos I posted last month.. first is a little trick I learned (so asian of me) - to fold tiny little stars. It's something I learned a long time ago that's really not that hard to do, though it never ceases to amaze others.
Second photos is the Alexander Wang Liya heels that I got a hold of during a sale on theOutnet.com. They really are just as good as other bloggers make them out to be.

No girl's ever said to a guy, "I wish you had a flatter stomach, right? They're like, I wish you would open up about your feelings."
Spring is "here" yet a couple weeks ago it snowed. In attempt to get the cool effect that I've seen in some more bloggers' pictures, I had my boyfriend take some photographs while it was snowing. It was relatively successful except for the fact that snowflakes are obviously unpredictable and some were inconveniently photographed on awkward parts of my face.
Cold weather makes me want to dress more casually, something that I can easily move around in without having to get frustrated that I am not only freezing, but I can't move. This Zara jacket has served me well for the past two years. It's really more like a big robe if you felt it in real life, with no lining or anything. I like that I can freely swing my arms around even that I don't do this on a daily basis, but it's nice to know that I can if I wish to.
