Welcome to Cynical Island, population: you.

My mother asked me if I would like to go on a date with her ex-boss's son. In amazement, I said uhmm, how old is he? She said, I don't know, 33 or something. I then asked whether she knew how old I was and if she was okay with a 10 year age difference. She answers with, it's okay he makes a lot of money and proceeds to tell me that she used to tell her ex-boss to have his son wait until I got older so that we could date.. granted this is when he was about to go off to college and I was still in middle school or so. I love our conversations.

    oh boy...that conversation reminded me of a blind date my dad set up for me and his friend's son...long story short it was a disaster.
