"The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts, while the stupid ones are full of confidence" -Charles Bukowski

I'm an all around lover of denim nowadays.  It's such a versatile fabric that can be dressed up or down depending on how you feel.  I've been wearing it a lot lately this summer on the cooler days.  This dress is from Current/Elliot and is super comfortable to throw on when I have nothing to wear.  I compare it to the artist smocks that I feel like I saw my elementary school art teachers wear.  All it's missing is paint stains.

That awkward moment when you finish watching a television series and you don't know what to do with your life anymore

I don't wear these beauties often enough but I really should.  For those of you that have been around for a while, these shoes were purchased at a consignment shop in my town for a steal of $25 (and that was at 50% off).  AND they happen to be Ann Demeulemeester, at least that's what they say on the inside.  The top part is detachable and it has these awesome long leather laces.

Living a life through photos is nice and all but it doesn't depict the hardships of a fashion, so I'd like to throw some honesty into this post about these shoes.  Make no mistake, these shoes are not super comfortable because they have a low heel.   They are in fact, a pain to wear, because I can't put socks on which results in my feet sweating (I apologize in advance for the image I've created) or blistering from rubbing around my toes (my apologies again).  But................ I can't let them go because the mixture of cost and awesomeness make them too good to sell them off at the moment!

My New Bag c/o Lodinatt

Recently I was asked by the wonderful people at Lodinatt to review their bag. They are a Korean based company that has made a cute and practical everyday bag. It's great for a working girl like myself because I can tote everything to and from work conveniently. Did I mention this is the first time I've been sent a bag of courtesy of a company for review? It's super exciting for me and I'd like to thank Lodinatt for allowing me this opportunity!

The great thing about this bag is that there is a secret compartment on the bottom that is perfect for shoes! I wore this outfit to work one day and it happens to look better with a pair of heels, however it's difficult for me to drive my car (because it's manual) when I go to and from work. I've been putting my Minnetonka driving moccasins in the compartment on the bottom so that I can easily switch shoes and tuck them away safely.

Another great feature of this bag is the two different ways you can carry it. There are handles that allow you to carry it more like a tote and then there is a longer strap so you can carry it on your shoulder when things start to get heavy. This allows one to wear this bag depending on their own individual style!

Thanks again to Lodinatt for sending me such a convenient and versatile bag to review!

"Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet" -Bob Marley

Here is the full outfit from a couple posts ago.. I haven't been able to dress like this for a while.  Summer has come on strong the past couple of weeks causing me to go for my usual uniform of tees and tanks with shorts.  I almost starting to hope for the days to cool down so I can start wearing outfits like this again...

The scarf was purchased on Ebay.. after going to Hong Kong and getting a scarf I loved, I went to Ebay in an effort to find more.  Ebay is a great place to find inexpensive scarves.  They usually come from Asia but the prices are still super reasonable.

I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger

So I've officially gone crazy with re-evaluating my current wardrobe and I've started to list half my life on Ebay (see the side bar if you want to check out what I have up at the moment).  Here's another pair of shoes I'm selling.  These faithful Frye boots are in great condition but as those of you who read my blog.. skinny ankle problems!!  I'm not a fan of how much they bunch up at my ankles so I've got a new pair of military boots that I got on sale coming to me.  In the meantime, you can find my listing here for these Frye Veronica Lace-Up boots.

Sam Edelman Gigi

I love the Sam Edelman Gigi sandals, they are perfect for summer and go with just about everything!  So simple and sleek.. they are definitely my go to sandal.  I bought a pair recently that didn't fit me as well as my other pairs do so I've decided to put it up on Ebay in hopes of them going to a loving new home!  The mixture of animal print makes these extra special.

Whoever came up with the phrase "The freaks come out at night" clearly haven't been to Walmart during the day.

Details of what I wore to a co-workers bbq.  I love wearing this Current Elliott army shirt as sort of a jacket because of its oversized fit on me.  It basically functions as a light sweater in my book.  And of course my 3.1 Phillip Lim Mini Pashli which has begun my love for smaller bags, though I am still in the process of learning how to pack less items in order to fit essentials into a smaller bag.

Rachel Comey Mars

Getting the hang of Instagram, though I do think it'd work a ton better if I was an owner of an Iphone.  My new Rachel Comey Mars boots came last night, I definitely thought that the black suede would be my favorite but right now it's the leather "whiskey" color that's calling to me.

"A day without laughter is a day wasted" -Charlie Chaplin

First loved item in my enormous Zara haul that I had to immediately share with you.  These tan studded sandals caught my attention the second they showed up on the site but I utilized some self control and did not buy them.  The reason being was though the asymmetrical strap looked cool in theory, I thought it would prove to make the sandal difficult to wear and not look that great.  Cut to, Zara featuring it on the "People" part of their website, where real bloggers are shown wearing certain items (this being one of them).  They looked really cute on the blogger but I still maintained some self restraint which paid off because they were available during the Zara sale and I snagged them.  They are super cute, and my fear of them not staying on has been proved wrong.
