Brrrr-berry

I've been wanting to retire my white winter coat for a while now but I have yet to purchase a suitable replacement for it even after countless shopping trips. Then while seeking out of my price range, I found not one but three suitable, no actually three PERFECT coats/jackets. And of course, it is from one of my favorite designers/brands- Christopher Bailey-Burberry Prorsum. The Fall 2010 RTW collection is just pure genius: shearling jackets styled in both cropped and reversible! I think my futile hunt has finally come to an end since I will now start putting money aside for my share of Burberry Fall 2010 Shearling Jackets. =)

snow days are bad for my wallet

2010 has been a cruel cruel winter and it continues to be. With a never-ending hurricane snowstorm hitting the tri-state area, most of us are snowed-in our homes. What's a girl gonna do? Shovel? Probably should but there is a more appealing activity waiting...online shopping marathon!

So with a cup of tea, my comfy blanket, and my temperamental laptop, I settled myself on the couch for this exciting journey. Although I am grateful for the day off, I do find myself feeling very fed up with the wintry weather. I was never a cold-weather girl to begin with. So now, if you share my sentiments on desperately wishing for warm weather, sunshine, and spring to come. Then it is only natural to browse and shop for lovely spring pieces. =)

After maybe three to four hours on sitting on my tush, I have narrowed down to several MUST BUY NOW pieces to update my wardrobe with...hehe

From Forever 21
note: I actually bought this top in purple back in November and I love it so much! The nude will be perfect for spring! i wore the tank top over a purple silky urban outfitters dress. At that time, I thought the purple would be too bright so the lace and the black bow tone the dress down a bit.

From Bakers Shoes
I first saw a pair of these sandals LAST April in Zara. Zara had it in magenta pink, electric blue, and black. I wanted a pair SO badly but I just couldn't rationalize a reason for buying them. They would literally just sit in my closet collecting dust. I knew I wouldn't handle the buyer's remorse gracefully if I had shell out big bucks for there. But now they have resurfaced at Bakers, who is selling them at a more reasonable price. I just have to buy them now!! I mean it's destiny calling right? The hard part is deciding between the baby pink or the electric blue...

From Urban Outfitters
I always love shopping at Urban for soft feminine jumpers and dresses. These colors are perfect for spring!

From Topshop
Over the winter, I had the opportunity to intern at topshop and when london shipped new spring samples over, i could not let go of this tote. It is unbelievable soft and I adore the tassles on the side. The neutral color makes it versatile for every outfit! Also, I am a sucker for pearls and I love how this necklace looks vintage with the printed scarves!

The above finds were only a select handful from my shopping marathon today. There were a bunch more goodies but unfortunately my right butt cheek has lost feeling so I will take that as a sign that I should get up from this couch. I cannot wait until the weather cooperates so that I can debut some of these pieces. Until then, I can only stare at them wistfully in my closet.

Oh snow, how my wallet hates you so!

you love those shoes like your own husband

Finally received my Jessica Simpson Dany shoes in tan yesterday, I love the giant platform in the front and the fact that they are sky high, perfect for a short girl like me. Will try to post pictures of the real thing soon but considering the fact that it is snowing currently, I don't think I'll be using these anytime in the near future. Waiting for the black ones that I pre-ordered as well from Victoria's Secret..

and so it begins....

Here we are: two black hair brown eyed asian girls starting a blog on our latest fashion desires/aversions. On the left is me (Anita) and to the right is my blogger in crime (Vivian). We met in college (Rutgers, New Jersey) in 2005. But back then, we were so clueless about high fashion, designers, and the latest trends. It was more about comfy sweats, skipping classes, and eating fat sandwiches. But, we have come a long way since our fashion shy days and we wanna share with everyone our evolving styles on this blog. So, come and take a peek! I hope you enjoy our self portraits and ramblings. =)
